Item Description

A hard to find specimen from a limited find over 20 years ago in the Pachapaqui District featuring dozens of micro, bright yellow crystals of Axinite-(Mn) on beautifully contrasting pink Rhodonite matrix. Upon close inspection, the Axinite crystals are well-formed and interestingly clustered together, like Garnet, they almost resemble Garnet crystals as they have a pseudo-dodecahedral habit. If you're a Peruvian mineral collector, or if you collect micros, this is a good one for you.
