Item Description
A sharp, pale GEMMY, lavender-colored crystal of the rare species axinite-(Mg) which rarely comes from this mine (found summer, 2010). Complete-all-around, this floater crystal is much gemmier and more lustrous in person, and is more transparent than the photos reflect. It is very glassy, with sharp beveled edges and is an excellent thumbnail-sized gem crystal for the species. Weighs 9.26 carats or nearly 2 grams. Valued at $400.
