Item Description

A really attractive sharp, lustrous, gemmy brown to purplish-clove colored "wedge"-shaped crystal of Axinite-(Fe) measuring 1.6 cm sitting on sharp, gem quality colorless Quartz from an obscure locality in Pakistan. I'm copying the locality information from Herb Obodda's label, but I can't find a specific reference to "Taftan" in any book, magazine or online database. The piece is in good shape overall, with only a bit of superficial roughness.
