Axinite-(Fe) with Albite

There are a handful of world localities that have yielded fine crystallized examples of Axinite-(Fe) in the modern era of mineral collector. Some of these localities lie in the high mountains of Pakistan, but crystals are not always seen in good matrix examples, and associated minerals are also hard to find. This piece is a showy large miniature / small cabinet featuring many bladed crystals of sharp, lustrous, gemmy/translucent, purplish-brown colored Axinite-(Fe) measuring up to 2.2 cm which are associated with a rare twinned crystal of translucent, blocky Albite along with white fibrous matted crystals of what is likely Chrysotile or Palygorskite. The Axinites have a bit of roughness in a few spots, so the piece is not damage-free, but it's a showy specimen for the locality, with a pleasing association, as the Albite crystal is beautifully well-formed.
