Item Description

Axinite specimens of this aesthetic quality are rare from this well-known Japanese skarn deposit with Cu-Zn-As-Sn veins. Opposing clusters of parallel-growth elongated blades form a very sculptural small cabinet. The highly lustrous blades have classic clove-brown and chocolate-brown color and the scattered quartz points on front and back are a super accent. The two impressive large blades reach 5.3 cm and are pristine. A couple of smaller blades in the interior are broken, but are barely noticeable on this fine display quality specimen.
