Item Description

Axinite is uncommon from any Baja California locale and is EXTEMELY RARE from this obscure locality. This is a euhedral, highly lustrous, partially translucent chocolate-brown crystal with a razor termination. Complete all-around and in great shape. The two sides are contacted, with little actual damage. A very fine rarity from the Kay Robertson Collection # 13004. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). Classic style.
