Item Description

Lustrous, gemmy to translucent, clove-brown Axinite-(Fe) crystals to 7 mm sit atop matrix on this classic, old-time specimen from the Roscommon Cliff, Cornwall, England. Additional Axinite crystals can be seen on the reverse side of the specimen. These specimens are very difficult to find on the market, and Cornwall isn't typically known for its Axinites, but they are highly prized by collectors. A beautifully representative example for the species and locality.
