Item Description
Axinite-(Fe) specimens are VERY RARE from this obscure California locale. Glassy, transparent to translucent, clove-brown to yellowish-brown blades to 1.5 cm fill a sculptural vug in large matrix on this very rich and showy rarity from the Bob Trimingham Collection. The modest bit of noted bruising has little impact to the quality and rarity of this piece. Older material (probably 1950s-60s) from the Jack Parnau Collection. The base has been sawed to enhance the display quality. A MUST for the species or California collector.
