Item Description
A really attractive group of sharp, lustrous, gemmy brown to purplish-clove colored "wedge"-shaped crystals of Axinite-(Fe) with minor associated Aragonite(?) from an obscure locality in Pakistan. I'm copying the locality information from Herb Obodda's label, but I can't find a specific reference to "Tafta" in any book, magazine or online database. The piece is in good shape overall, with only a bit of superficial roughness. The largest crystal measures 2.2 cm.
