Item Description
Glassy, gemmy, well-formed clove-brown, axinite-(Fe) crystals are aesthetically clustered on this dramatic large combination plate from this obscure Alpine-cleft type deposit in Pakistan. The large crystal on the left is 4.7 cm and the isolated crystal on the right is 4.5 cm. The bone-white adularia crystals covering the matrix are a super contrast and the green clusters of chamosite (a Chlorite Group species) are an additional nifty accent. The axinite cluster on the left is bruised, while the very sharp crystal on the right is essentially pristine. It has a contact, but there is no damage, per se. This is a striking and rare large combination from this locale from the Matioli Collection. value d$1000
