Item Description
A group of fine, sharp, lustrous, well-formed, tabular crystals of purplish Axinite-(Fe) sit atop of a mound of compacted Actinolite. Some of the Axinite crystals are included with muted green color "Chlorite", creating a beautiful two-tone effect. From a "kleft" deposit in the Himalayas of Pakistan, very similar to "Alpine type" Axinites from Russia, or true Alpine Axinites from Europe. The largest crystal group of Axinite on the specimen measures 2.7 cm across.
