Item Description
An SUPERB and super-rich specimen of fan-like clusters of lustrous, bladed yellow-green autunite from the famous Daybreak Mine of Washington. These specimens were mined in the 1960s. The autunite bundles cover the entire exceptional and sturdy specimen, which is solid autunite. This specimen is of the highest quality and is nearly pristine, with only a trivial bit of contacting on one end. Valued at $2000. Fedex shipping available worldwide, no problem, despite the radioactivity. This is the CLASSIC US mineral and locality for a radioactive, AND the specimen happens to be extremely competitive in aesthetics and quality as well. Ex Mullane Collection and comes with a 1960s or early 70s vintage label. The Mullanes retired to Oregon and thus lived not far from the mine here in Washington during its heyday. This is a superb specimen, one of the best pieces in their worldwide collection and something in normal economic times I wouldnt hesitate to price at $2500 and place in the galleries expecting a quick sale.
