Item Description
Most people don't realize that the type locality for Austinite is the famous Gold Hill Mine in Utah. This piece is a good representation of the species and is actually the green copper-bearing variety (Cuprian Austinite) which is associated with intense green crystal aggregates of Adamite on oxidized matrix. Very attractive up close and we have photographed the piece with a Canon MP-E 65 mm macro lens to better illustrate the quality.
