Item Description

A classic specimen of the famous copper-bearing (Cuprian) Austinite specimens from the world-famous Ojuela Mine. This small cabinet features a full coverage of rich green botryoids measuring up to 9 mm across which have a coating of a drusy layer of tiny scalenohedral Calcite to create a gentle "frosted" effect over the entire specimen. A thin layer of Limonite can be seen on the back of the piece. Classic material, no damage and hard to find on the market today as this came out around 20-30 years ago. Valued at $450.
