Item Description

A rich, miniature sized piece consisting of a good sized, semi-spherical group of soft greenish-yellow colored Austinite on contrasting Limonite matrix from Ojuela Mine in Mexico. The group has a gentle almost "velvety" luster and glows with color when backlit. This is classic, excellent, older material from this noted locale, that has produced some of the finest Austinites in the world. Very hard to find on the market now. Priced at $1,500 in the inventory. From the collection of Colin Manlove, with an old label glued to the back (presumably from Italy based on the spelling of Mexico = Messico).
