Item Description

A cool Austinite specimen on Conichalcite from the famous Gold Hill Mine in Utah. Austinite is a calclium zinc arsenate named after Austin Flint Rogers, an American mineralogist at Stanford University. The Austinite crystals have great sharp crystals with excellent gemminess and vitreous luster, and really look great up close and against the stark green Conichalcite matrix. From the Harold Urish collection, and certainly good quality for the species.
