Item Description
Austinite is an uncommon hydrated, calcium, zinc arsenate. Radiating clusters of lustrous, colorless, acicular austinite crystals are richly and attractively scattered on two side of the vuggy gossan matrix and are associated with another generation of much larger, very differently formed, moderately lustrous, balls and pinwheels of olive-green cuprian austinite. Material of this rare, very fine and rich combination material undoubtably dates to the 1960s. Ex Howard Belsky Collection.
