Item Description

This is the first and only Aurichalcite specimen that we've had to offer from the Stockton Mining District, about 10 miles southwest of Bingham, Utah. It's a notably fine quality display piece featuring rich blue-green colored acicular "tufts" of Aurichalcite which play hosts to gemmy, colorless, highly compressed crystals of Calcite measuring up to 1.4 cm, right in the center of the specimen. Very good quality all around, and certainly rare on the market. If you collect secondary ore minerals, specimens from Utah or simply colorful display specimens from lesser-known localities, don't miss out on this one. I value this highly for the simple fact that it's from Utah, and I've never seen another like it. Priced at $2,400 in the inventory. From the collection of Vasco Trancoso, a medical doctor and prominent mineral collector from near Lisbon, Portugal (https://www.mindat.org/user-11954.html). He assembled his mineral collection over the course of 60 years, and built a fine worldwide display collection that we recently purchased. This piece is pictured on mindat.org at https://www.mindat.org/photo-204335.html
