Item Description
VERY RARE, rich and beautiful aurichalcite from a most obscure extinct mine in Pima County. Gorgeous radial sprays of gemmy turquoise-blue needles dramatically invest both sides of the sculptural large vuggy matrix. Sprays of glassy, colorless aragonite needles are also present. MINDAT lists 7 species for this small old mine, worked from early 1900s to 1937, but features no mineral photographs. It look like aurichalcite from the famous 79 Mine in Gila County, but it's not! Superb and RARE combination material from the Charles Ward and Bruce Murphy Collections. Value of such a rare, perphaps unique large rarity?? A MUST for the Arizona or species collector!
