Item Description

The Jack Pot Mine is in Lyon County, not Douglas County, as the Bob Trimingham label indicates. Mineral specimens of any species are very uncommon from this obscure extinct mine. This colorful and rich large piece features ribbons of lustrous, blue-green and green lathes artfully scattered on the hefty matrix covered with sparkly, white hemimorphite microcrystals. The blue-green lathes are probably serpierite and the green crystals are probably aurichalcite. RARE combination material from this locale, that displays very well without aid. A MUST for the locality or species collector.
