Item Description
A beautiful, very rich and rare large aurichalcite specimen from this extinct California Pb-Cu-Au-Ag-Zn-Mn mine. Dazzling, bright powder-blue sprays of glassy aurichalcite blades richly cover a sculptural 7.5 cm vug lined with spherical aggregates of aurichalcite or an unknown copper mineral. The blue color of the aurichalcite is remarkable. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection and we believe he collected these himself. Bob is a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. An exceptional rare, large and rich aurichalcite specimen from the locale.
