Aurichalcite is a well known zinc copper hydroxy carbonate and the Bingham area is a great locality for the species. This piece features beautiful, blue green "tuft"-like crystals of Aurichalcite sitting on Quartz matrix forming a striking and colorful thumbnail specimen from this well-known locality. The color is so bright and rich, I thought at first glance that this was a Dioptase specimen. A cool and eye-catching miniature piece for any collector from the Allen Heyl Collection.
