Item Description

A very fine and colorful, old-time combination plate from this obscure small Arizona locale, that produced ore from 1877-1920. Gorgeous, turquoise-blue, aurichalcite botryoids are richly covered by glassy, flattened calcite rhombs on the front. A 4.9 cm vug on the side of the gossan plate is lined with sparkly calcite on a layer of underlying hemimorphite. This combination is rare from the Omega Mine. From the well known Tucson collection of 40-year collector, Harold Urish.
