Item Description
Abundant, tiny, light blue needles powdering coatings of Aurichalcite are covered with sparkling clear Calcite crystals on this small cabinet piece from Ojuela, Mexico. The Aurichalcite is a lovely light turquoise-blue that coats a surface of ocherous, brown-orange limonite. The Aurichalcite is covered by a late generation of lustrous and transparent, colorless Calcite in crystals from 2 to 3 mm in size. Overall this is just a colorful, sparkling piece with both color and textural contrast.
