Item Description
Augite specimens, in general, are very uncommon from the famous Bancroft area of Ontario. Augite and chabazite combinations specimens from the Highway 62N Road cut are RARE. Sharp, textbook, augite crystals with moderate luster comprise this showy and rich piece. The impressive end crystal is 3.4 x 2.3 x 1.7 cm. A REAL bonus at the base of the augites is a cluster of sharp, lustrous, translucent, honey-yellow chabazite crystals to 1.3 cm. Undoubtably older and rare combination material.
