Item Description
For a time, "Fassaite" was a valid, species, but it is now defined as low-iron variety of the Pyroxene mineral Augite. Here is a beautiful old time display specimen featuring sharp, lustrous, well-formed, prismatic crystals measuring up to 1.1 cm long on matrix. The crystals have a pleasant green hue with a slight yellow overtone. A great piece of this historic Alpine material. Ex Colin Manlove Collection.
