Item Description
Here we have a gorgeous large thumbnail /toenail display specimen of the contemporary classic GREEN Augelite crystals from Peru. These have put virtually all other Augelites around the world to shame from the standpoint of size and color. This piece features a few gemmy / translucent bright lime green crystals of Augelite measuring up to 1.3 cm sitting among thin, colorless, prismatic, hexagonal Quartz crystals, but the cherry on the sundae is that there is actually a beautiful "butterfly"-shaped Japan-Law twin of Quartz measuring 1.5 cm across flaring off the top of the specimen! This combination is notably hard to find. There is a little bit of roughness to the Augelite crystals, but it's offset by the rarely seen Japan-Law twin. Augelite is typically white or colorless from various world localities, and these Peruvian crystals set a standard for the species in terms of size and color.
