Item Description
The world's finest Augelite specimens, an uncommon Al-phosphate, were recovered in 2005-2006 and again in 2012 from the Ortega Mine, the highest adit in the well-known Mundo Nuevo mining area of Peru. Crisp, beautiful apple-green, glassy, translucent, wedge-shaped crystals, to 1.7 cm, are aesthetically set on both sides of the sculptural mounded quartz crystal matrix. A very fine 360-degree large miniature sized combination of this world-class species from this locality.
