Augelite & Quartz

Item Description

A 2.0 cm, rich mint-green, sharp, glassy, translucent augelite crystal boldly towers above a dense forest of glassy water-clear quartz points, to 2.9 cm. Augelite specimens recovered from this 2012 find at the Mundo Nuevo Mine are considered to be the finest in the world. This aesthetic 360-degree combination miniature is in great shape, with only a few broken quartz points noted on the periphery. This was not a large find.
