Item Description
These are some of the best Bolivian Augelite crystals to hit the mineral market in a long time. This piece features a few fine, sharp, lustrous, colorless/white, gemmy crystals of Augelite measuring up to 9 mm with minor brownish "discs" of Siderite sitting on a plate of Pyrite crystal matrix. The largest Pyrite measures 1.3 cm across, and some crystals feature a combination of trapezohedra modified by octohedra which is not terribly common in my experience with Pyrite from any world locality. The quality of the main Augelite crystal is very good and keep in mind that 9 mm represents a very good sized crystal from this mine. This rare phosphate mineral is not seen often in any format from any locality, and for a Bolivian Augelite, this is a great piece, especially since it's a big hand-sized cabinet specimen.
