Item Description

These are some of the best Bolivian Augelite crystals to hit the mineral market in a long time. This is a very interesting specimen as it is the only piece from the lot that formed a complete crystallized vug that remained in tact after extraction. It features a few fine, sharp, lustrous, colorless/white crystals of Augelite measuring up to 1.3 cm sitting in a small vug in host rock matrix. The quality of the Augelite crystals is very good and they are certainly good sized crystals from this mine. The crystals on this specimen are definitely some of the best quality crystals I've offered from Machacamarca in a long time. This rare phosphate mineral is not seen often in any format from any locality, especially on matrix. Were it not for the green crystals from Peru, these would be some of the best Augelites not only from South America, but nearly anywhere in the world.
