Item Description

Augelite is an uncommon phosphate, that is only found from a few world localities in good quality specimens. Bolivia has several good Augelite localities, including the famous locality at Tasna. This piece features sharp, highly lustrous, gemmy crystals of Augelite measuring up to 4 mm associated with greenish-brown compressed rhombohedra of Siderite with Pyrite on micro Quartz matrix. This specimen is from the find about 10 years ago (2002), when some of the most impressive Augelites came out of Tasna. This is definitely one of the largest crystals of Augelite I've seen from Tasna.
