Item Description
The Machacamarca Mine in Bolivia is well-known for producing some exquisite specimens of Bournonite (specifically from the Viboras section), but in the early 2000s it also yielded some fine quality specimens of the phosphate Augelite. These pieces haven't been seen in 20 years or so, and good ones are few and far between on the market. This attractive small cabinet specimen host several fine quality, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, colorless crystals measuring up to about 1.0 cm across, associated with minor Pyrite on matrix. Nearly all of the crystals are undamaged, and look great up close. If you collect phosphates or Bolivian minerals, this is something you rarely see available these days, with good sized crystals for the locality, so don't miss out.
