Atlantisite is the trade name designated for the combination of green Serpentine rock and purple/fuschia color Stichtite from Tasmania. This material is certainly attractive, and as far as I know, there is only one occurrence for it in the world. The combination of the yellow-green Serpentine with the contrasting Stichtite makes these gems very desirable for collectors. This "Oval Cabochon" cut stone is opaque for all intents and purposes, but is really dazzling in person as the two-tone coloration gives it an unwordly appearance. This is one of the best Atlantisite gems that I have had to offer, and it is well worth the $100 starting bid.
