An impressive 3.0 cm, 360-degree radiating "star" of glassy, highly lustrous, emerald-green to dark green atacamite prisms highlights this colorful and sculptural large combination from this well-known remote copper mine in Chile. The andesite matrix hosts more Atacamite sprays, tiny tufts of gemmy, olive-green Libethenite needles, many of which are capped with gemmy, emerald-green Pseudomalachite microcrystals. The contrasting bone-white spherical clusters are Halloysite, a clay mineral and there are also crusts of dark green Chrysocolla.
