Atacamite (old specimen) (ex Rich Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

A classic specimen of Atacamite from the type locality for the species. This is an old specimen (approximately 50 years) and features sparkling, almost wet-looking, rich emerald green, rather gemmy, bladed crystals on matrix. The piece is associated with Malachite and Chrysocolla as well. A great, colorful "old time" specimen of this beloved Copper Hydroxyhalide. Pieces of this material are not easy to find on the market anymore.
