Item Description

A classic specimen of Atacamite from the type locality for the species. This is an old specimen (approximately 50 years) and features sparkling, almost wet-looking, rich emerald green, slightly gemmy, bladed crystals on matrix. The piece is associated with Malachite and minor Chrysocolla as well. A great, colorful "old time" specimen of this beloved Copper Hydroxyhalide. Specimens - espeically fine quality large cabinets - of this material are not easy to find on the market anymore. Priced at $2000.
