Atacamite (Larry Krause Coll.)

Item Description

Two generations of atacamite form this showy, snail-looking specimen from the well-known Mount Gunson Mine of Australia. Lustrous, bladed nodules of deep forest-green atacamite are separated by and attached to lighter green atacamite. The basal contact reveals the nifty radial growth pattern of the atacamite blades. A bit of periphery wear is noted, but certainly nothing to detraction on this fine two-sided piece. Ex Larry Krause Collection.
