Item Description

An impressive big hefty Atacamite specimen from the famed La Farola Min featuring fantastic, highly lustrous, deep emerald green crystal "sprays", with individual crystals measuring to several mm with semi-velvety medium blue-green colored Malachite on matrix. The crystals are best seen under magnification and they show a brilliance that you don't see in most minerals. Atacamite was named after the vast Atacamite Desert in Chile, where the first specimens were found. It's not common to get your hands on large cabinet display quality examples of this material.
