Atacamite (classic material) (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A classic old specimen of the famous Atacamites from the classic area for the species. This piece hosts very lustrous (almost wet-looking) dark green, thin blades of Atacamite measuring up to 6 mm associated with blue-green Chrysocolla on matrix. The piece certainly dates back at least 40-50 years based upon the style that was found during that time period. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12294). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
