Item Description

A showy, three-dimensional and aesthetic display specimen from the well-known Mount Gunson copper-lead-zinc-bismuth mine. Botryoidal aggregates of sparkly, emerald-green crystals comprise this excellent piece of solid Atacamite. Classic and excellent material from this mine, that closed in 1985. Ex Kay Robertson Collection. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
