Item Description

Atacamite specimens are rare from the famous Chuquicamata Mine, a long-gone and very important locality for so many unique copper mineral species. The richly lined vug in hefty ore hosts sparkly, dark green atacamite crystals to 1-2 mm next to sprays of gemmy, light green, brochantite needles. Another vug holds only brochantite needles. Both species have very high luster. Excellent, very rich, uncommon, older combination material from this noted locale. Ex Howard Belsky Collection.
