Astrophyllite (Colorado) old classic

Lustrous, diverging, metallic foil-like, golden-bronze astrophyllite blades are richly and showingly set in CABINET pegmatite matrix from a famous Colorado locality - St. Peters Dome. Astrophyllite is a RARE titanium silicate and these are LARGE, up to 6.0 cm, crystals of the species and for the locality. Comes with an old, faded, expertly handwritten label. The collection this came out of was a museum stash dating to prior to World War I. Valued at $400-500. This is an large, excellent example of this rare material!
