As-bearing Vanadinite ("Endlichite") (ex Leigh Price Collection)

You might see the term "Endlichite" on old labels, as this was a valid species for years, but it's now classified as an arsenic-bearing variety of Vanadinite. This lovely three-dimensional thumbnail specimen hosts many classic, deep golden-bronze colored, almost metallic looking, hexagonal, prismatic crystals of "Endlichite" measuring up to 1.7 cm long and free of matrix. The crystals show pronounced skeletal growth, and some are essentially hollow in the center. Certainly an eye-catching specimen, and good quality on the display side. There are a few minor imperfections, but it's in good condition all around. I have not seen anything in way of these specimens (except in old collections), and every good Mexican collection, should have a nice "Endlichite" like this in them.
