Snow-white balls of radiating fibers of the uncommon hydrated carbonate, artinite, are festooned on this scuptural and impressive large specimen on serpentine matrix from this noted locale, famous for excellent examples of the species. Ex C.P. Maier Collection with a 1975 date and an East Coast collection. Choice and rich material of this mineral that is usually just not interesting from this region, and is often discarded. Occasionally, though, we get this quality!
