Arsenopyrite with Siderite (classic locale)

Exceptional and sculptural 360-degree small cabinet arsenopyrite specimen from the famous Panasqueira mines. Striking, well-formed, splendent metallic-gray, striated, doubly terminated tapered prisms, to 3.3 cm, are aesthetically and richly intergrown intergrown. One end and the richly covered bottom hosts flattened, light brown Siderite disks, to 1.5 cm (on the end). The scattered non-invasive attachment points are on the basal periphery of the piece. Arsenopyrite is one locale's most important collector species, along with fluorapatite, cassiterite and ferberite. This is an outstanding, classic, essentially pristine arsenopyrite combination example in this size range.
