Item Description

An old-time and very uncommon combination specimen from this historic district. Sharp, glassy, harmotome crystals are aesthetically clustered near the crest of the of the 3-dimensional, angled matrix with a crevice in the middle, of sintered-looking arsenopyrite. The back of the "wing" on the left is composed of sparkly, nubby, botryoidal arsenopyrite. Arsenopyrite is rare from St Andreasberg, especially so in this combination. Mispickel is the German name for arsenopyrite. Ex Richard Hauck Collection. very old!
