Item Description

Danaite is the rare Co-bearing variety of arsenopyrite and is named for James Freeman Dana, famous mineralogist. It was originally described from this locale. Matte-gray crystals to 1.8 cm and broken steel-gray crystals are richly set in the quartz vein on gneiss matrix on this old specimen from this classic locale. VERY rare on the market.
