Item Description

Panasqueira is one of the more classic "modern" European localities. Although the area is defunct, it produced some amazing specimens about 40 years ago. It is certainly one of the most distinctive localities in the world and it has produced some amazing specimens, including some of the most beautiful Arsenopyrites in the world. This piece features several razor sharp, very lustrous, metallic, silvery white prismatic crystals of Arsenopyrite arranged in a unique semi "floral"-esque form sitting atop a colorless WATER clear Quartz crystal. The largest Arsenopyrite measures 1.2 cm long The piece is in great shape, and is an aesthetic display piece from this well-known mining district. The piece can be displayed from a few angles, and these specimens are simply not seen on the market these days. Personally I love it, and I think it's one of the nicest miniatures of this material that I've seen. Hard to photograph but REALLY attractive in person.
