Arsenopyrite on Quartz

Item Description

A superbly crystallized and excellent specimen covered with lustrous, battleship-gray arsenopyrite crystals to 3.0 cm on massive quartz matrix. The crystals have classic, sharp, elongated, pyramidal form. Overall, the arsenopyrites are in super condition, with only very trivial edgwear and modest periphery wear noted. This is a major arsenopyrite specimen, and displays very well from several angles, as you can see. This showy piece is from the famous Yaogangxian Mine of China.
